Cane Gun?

In my travels I picked up a black powder muzzle loader cane gun. Appears to be mid 1800s. Overall in excellent condition. There are proof marks but I have to get a stronger glass to read them. I can't post photos but I can email them to someone if you want to put them up. I would like to see what you all can come up with for info. I have been searching online but there is limited information.
