Taurus PT 111 Millenium problem

I have the original series Taurus PT 111 9mm.
After a year in storage, the slide now retracts 1/4 inch when the rigger is pulled. I've lubricated theit with no effect. It is as if the striker is dragging the slide back with it part way when the trigger is pulled.
Any suggestion?

  Disassemble and completely clean it.
