Freedom Arms .22 Mini Revolver

I have a Freedom Arms Casull Improvement Mini revolver marked 22 LR. My question is - can I shoot .22 shorts in it? I have contacted Freedom Arms but no one will answer my question. Hope one of you can help? Thanks.

  Yes, like all 22LR firearms, you can fire 22 shorts in it. It would seem it would cost a bit more these days.

  No problem shooting shorts in it but before you use the longer ones please be sure to clean the chamber really good. The build up of residue can cause a big pressure problem when you go back to the long ones...

  Yes, you can, though
  
  a. Ballistics will be pretty weak from the short barrel, and
  
  b. The shorter cartridge can cause fouling buildup within the chamber. If you fire a lot of .22 shorts and don't scrub out the chambers really well you may have a hard time getting ordinary .22LRs to fit in the chamber.

  If you are looking for a lower powered load CCI makes a CB long round for the .22 rf. It is powered by priming material only and uses a long case so there is no fouling ring like you get with the shorts.
