Custom work Colt 1911 Officers

Just got the Colt 1911 Officers .
I need some custom work done,a trigger,hammer,grips.
Any recommendations?
Where can I get parts and who can assemble them?
Any info is appreciated.

    Cylinder & Slide sells custom parts and does Custom work. Their parts and labor are both first class

    I had a stainless officer's done by Chip McCormick at Colt's shop and it was a first rate job.

    Thank you very much ,guys.
    Wilson Combat does not want to deal with the Officers model,and wait at Novak is 6-8 month.
    No responce from Cylinder & Slide yet.
    I'll try Colt Custom shop.

    OK,Colt Custom shop does not fit aftermarket parts.
    I have parts from Wilson Combat,even they refuse to fit them on my Officers eventhough the parts are from them.

    the work you want done is basic stuff. very little fitting required. ask you local gunshot for a competent smith in your area. you'll have the gun back in less than a week.
    if you're in NW kansas, bring it to me. i'll do it while you wait.

    I'm in New York,it's a bit harder here.I heard that Officers 45 is very sensitive to any changes,so unless my local gunsmith had done work on them before,chances are something might go wrong.That's what guys at Wilson Combat told me.And that;s the reason why they don't want to do the work.
