There have been several variations. If yours was made before 1961, it is a C&R.

All pre-1964 Winchesters are C&R eligible per the BATF, and a 52B most certainly is pre-64.

    I do not believe that a 1993 Winchester 52B Sporter re-issue would qualify as a C&R.

Bert, I was unaware that all pre-1964 Winchesters were classified as C&R's. I would appreciate it if you could cite a reference.

Mine is serial #65609 B. When was it made? I have listed it on the auctions, #212522894. I started it at $800.00. Is that realistic? Gunswapper.

I haven't found that reference yet either but I am quite sure I have read it before. I shall keep looking.

fwiw I think you are a little 'strong' on price. the rifle has been modified, refinished, and has 'issues.

I realize the cheekpiece is a modification, other than that, it has not been reblued. Do you see any other modifications? Thanks for your input.

I think the adjustable butt plate is also not sock.

I think you might be a little high, but you never know until it sells.
