Changing an extractor?

Anyone know how to change the extractor in a Remington 597?

I might be confused but isn't this the same as a 98 Mauser.

You might want to check "youtube". Maybe type in something like "Remington 597 disassembly". I was hung-up with a shotgun for hours but found some bright youngster on youtube that had me up and running in a few minutes. Good luck.

No Perry...this is their cheap rimfire semi-auto. The one they recalled the 17HMR's on.
