Remington Mark III Flare Gun Firing Safety
Hi all, I have a Winchester Signal Cannon that uses the 10 ga. black powder blanks. I've read different opinions about whether those same blanks could be safely fired in the Remington Mark III flare gun. I have limited gun knowledge so that is why I'm asking here. I would be using it for pirate re-enactments so the "crude" looks of this gun appeals to me. I'm also presuming that since they were legally manufactured they are not considered a "short barrell shotgun". Any help is appreciated. Thanks

the 10ga flare that the remingtion fired in its day was primer fired with possibly a pinch of black powder..the win 10ga cannon blank has 8 drams of black powder..you will lose your hand or eyes...hang it on the wall..it has a brass frame and a weak latch 0
