SHORT ANSWER... NO, YOU CANN'T CHANGE FROM A 9MM TO A .45 (ON ANY OF THEM). .40 TO .357 SIG. SURE

At one point you could get factory barrels in .40SW and 357 SIG for Kel-Tec's P11 subcompact 9mm pistol, though I think both have been long discontinued.

Speaking from experience, shooting .40SW from this subcompact not-that-ergonomic 11 ounce gun is highly unpleasant. So even though you "can", I'm not sure you "should".

Note that Kel-Tec doesn't offer any other handguns that you might call conventional full sized centerfire pistols, so the question is sort of moot. Caliber conversions from conventional .22LR guns, .380ACP guns, or from fixed barrel rifles are generally not feasible.

The Kel-Tec folding polymer carbine, the Sub2000 can be altered to take MAGAZINES from different pistols (IIRC Glock, Beretta, and Smith), though that's sort of a different thing.

So far as I know, Ruger never offered FACTORY conversion barrels for any of its AUTOMATIC guns.

Aftermarket conversion barrels to go from .40SW to 357 SIG are available for the P94 model (or at least were at one point).

9mm to .40SW is probably not technically feasible, and I've never heard of a .40SW to 9mm conversion barrel for the Ruger.

Ruger also does (or did) offer conversion CYLINDERS for some of its revolvers.

Some will let you go from .22LR to .22 magnum, and some others will let you go from .38/.357 to 9mm luger.

EDIT: If you want to play around with caliber conversions, the way to go is to get an EAA/Tanfoglio large frame witness that will let you relatively easily swap between 9mm luger, .40SW, .45ACP, 10mm, .38 super, and .22LR.

Its probably possible to swap uppers on 1911 pistols to go from .45 to some other calibers.

The Kel Tec used to make a conversion slide assembly for the P11 that would convert it to 40 S&W or .357 SIG. The 40 and 357 barrels would swap as long as it was used in the proper slide assembly.

However, the recoil could best be described as "lively"!

Ruger did at one point offer a 9mm and a 30 luger barrel in a package.
