Help with Enfield Bayonet

Found some info on this but need more clarification. Also, is this painted afterward and value.

    Ruckin69....looks like what you have here is a Enfield Number 5 Rifle bayonet, second variation. 188,000 were made by Wilkinson on the 1907 Model. WSSC is the name of the Wilkinson Company, as is the S294 designation, made in 1944. The new Model 5 needed a different style bayonet to go over the flash eliminatior (ha! if you have ever fired one you know about the flash!) so this bayonet was created.It was also made by four other manufacturing companies but Wilkinson made the most, by far.
