TEC-9 Question

Is there any way to tell if one of these TEC-9's are preban or post ban, all the ones I have seen all have the large capacity magazine and dealers in NY cannot sell anything over 10 rounds. Do they sell magazines for these things in 10 round?

  First off ALL Tec-9's are pre ban since the 1994 AWB ban them, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TEC-9
  
  In NY if the mag is pre ban they can be sold. We have some NY members that can explain it better.

  The post ban version was called the AB10. 10 round mag, no threads on muzzle.

  Good info, greg. Yes, 10 rnd mags are available. Can't you buy pre-ban pieces in NY now that the ban has expired? Maybe it's just a state thing. Just buy it with no mag at all. By some (10 rnd)on GB later.

  +1...have NIB AB10 1994...everything you said,except it did come with a 30rd mag...

  OK Great, so how do you know if a 30 round mag is pre ban or not

  The NYS "assault weapon" law did not expire. You can only have what your local dealer is willing & able to transfer to you.
