Tough to say without seeing pics, but I sold one exactly like that with a correct but non-original box for $725 about 3 months ago. I would guess with the box you could get around $800+/- for it. Pics would really help, also serial prefix/DOM.

Well, the term "Peacemaker", references the Colt Single Action Army, and yes there were very few of them made in 22 caliber. That said, you most likely have a Colt Scout. Pictures are needed to accurately gauge condition, as one man's 98% might be realistically 80%. If you go to the auction side, and look up the Scouts, and look at the auctions that have ended in the last 30, 60, or 90 days, that actually have sold, it will give you a good indication of what the market will bear, for one that is in the same condition as yours.

Actually, nearly 200,000 .22 caliber "Peacemaker" (fixed sights) and "New Frontier" (adjustable rear sight) models were made from 1970 to 1977. I own three of them. The serial number will help us determine the year yours was made.

GB auctions, not someone's opinion, determine true market value. That's what you paid. It's a good investment.

Seems like whenever anyone buys something, someone else will say you could have gotten it cheaper.

In effect, unless you or the seller were under duress, what you paid for it is the market price for that item.
