Winchester 70 barrel swap

I've got a pre 64 (1961) winchester 70 in 30-06 that I want to re-barrel to 243 winchester using a winchester pre 64 heavy 26" varmint 243 barrel of the same vintage. My question is how well can I expect the roll stamping and extractor cutout to line up without machining and recutting the chamber I've done mausers, weatherbys and remington but this will be my first try at a winchester 70
