    It looks reblued to me but it may be just from the poor picture quality. Try to get ahold of a good digital camera and get some clear, closeup pics, including all markings.

    I know it is a tough thing to grade with these pics but asssuming it is original and say 80%, what do you think?

    I don't see a sliding breech cover, which would make it a first model. If it's in 80% original condition, probably in the $1,500 range.

    Damn you guys are good. A gunbroker came in and bought this for $1400 and the other guns you quoted were right on as well. VERY IMPRESSED!!!!!!!

    If you mean a dealer in antique firearms when your saying, "gunbroker"? This means that the actual retail value of the Lighting is at least $2000 or better, and it was in factory original, Very Good+ condition. A guy who makes his living by buying and selling antique guns wouldn't be paying that kind of money for the Lighting unless it was right.

    It was a dealer in antique firearms. Thanks for clirifying. He paid about $1400 for it. But had a few other items for the total sale.
