I just looked over the auctions that have ended within the last 60 days. Therre has been only one 760 in 222 listed. It is missing the rear sight, and the barrel has ben cut down. He was asking $1200.00 starting, and it has not sold. If yours is all original, and has EVERYTHING it came with, in the condition you state, I would not take less then $1000.00 for it.

Within the past year I sold a 760 in 222 and one in 223. They were not 95 percent rifles. I got 1400. for each one. In Pennsylvania these will bring top dollar.

The .222 will bring over 1000.00 most of the time. Very hard to find I paid 1300.00 for mine and at that time that was a low price but that was before the depression.

Worth over $1000, wow! Guess I should have jumped on the one for $200...but it just seems too good and the guys selling it looked questionable, I thought it was probably stolen.

I HAD A 760 IN .222. Didn't use it & wanted a waterfoul gun when we had to switch to steel shot. I traded it for a new Win 1300 waterfoul special. Looking back it was a dumb trade. Wish I had kept that gun now. I've only ever traded or sold 4 guns in my life. That was the one I've regretted the most. At the time I didn't have any extra money & I traded a gun I didn't use for one I could use.

Well, well! I appreciate the insight, gents. Looks like I may hold on to this one for a while. I've researched the values on GB and other sites the past year and haven't found many in this caliber. Also, extra mags are OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive (I don't have any spares :( I've shot about 10 rounds through her and she does shoot like a dream. Much thanks to your replies. Mac
