Evaluating my Win Pre-64 30/06 please..
I am selling it to my brother-in-law and want to be fair to both.
Can you approximate the value, less the scope.
I believe it's a 1956 year model.
The bore is excellent and has been in a safe for over 30 years, no rust, minor scratches from carrying etc.

I don't see markings on the scope, but it looks like a Weaver.
Thanks!

Let me take a wild guess...Does the serial number of this rifle start with G?
Edit: Right, it's not a pre-64. How did we know? Red W in bottom of grip and the non-claw extractor jeweled bolt.0 -
It is not a pre-'64 model 70.
It looks like a $400 gun and scope to me.0 -
The serial number is 852811.
There is no "G".0 -
Goggle for "Winchester model 70 pre-64 serial numbers. The last pre 64's ended at around 582,000. 0 -

There is no "G".Roger Rule's "The Rifleman's Rifle" places the date of manufacture of your Model 70 as 1966.0 -
What caliber, what scope. 0 -
Like Herschel said, it's not a pre 64 and it's worth about $400.
