SKS Price Variances
I have a Vietnam Era SKS that was manufactured in China at the original SKS factory for NORINCO. The rifle is in excellent condition and I'd grade it to be between 90% to 95%. The only item that I replaced was the original stock with another original style wood stock. I was told that it was worth more than the modern day SKS's because the majority of the parts were milled and not stamped. Any ideas on the price of this piece would be appreciated.

Check the auction side, but I would think $200.00-$300.00 depending on condition. In the late 70's they were $100.00 all day.

You were told wrong. The same factory that produced SKS's in China for the Chinese & NV military continued production for export to the US. Quality is the same, although there are minor variations.
If yours is a VN bringback (no import markings), it would be worth a substantial premium if you had left it alone. With a replaced stock, it's back in the $200-300 range.

Reiterating what was already said:
The vast majority of SKS rifles, including most Chinese (Norinco) guns use MILLED (not stamped) parts.
Stamped parts Chinese SKS guns supposedly do exist, though they are pretty rare. If you had one in original condition, just because of the scarcity it would probably be worth more to a collector than a typical Chinese SKS, which right now run about $250-300 or so, depending on condition.
Now, if you have a true Vietnam-era bringback SKS (ie no importer markings) in original condition, then it could be worth quite a bit more (maybe $1000) to a collector, ESPECIALLY if you have the bringback papers and/or other provenance to prove its origin.
With a swapped stock? Hard to say. Without the papers, or documentation to prove its a GI bringback gun, you might not get any more for it than a comparable gun of more recent manufacture.0
