Rubber Pearce Grips
Considering buying for a Makarov. Would they reduce felt recoil? Any pros or cons?

I have them on a Bulgarian Makarov, and like them. They do make it more comfortable to shoot. They aren't terribly handsome, but they are functional. 0 -
The Pearce grips for Makarov pistols are one of the few aftermarket grips that I DO recommend. I find the Makarov's original plastic grips uncomfortable and I think the approximate $20.00 cost for the rubber, more ergonomic Pearce grip set to be a good value.
Be careful when messing with the grips on the Makarov pistol. The grip set is held in place with one screw through the back of the grip frame. This screw can be screwed in too far! Doing so with the magazine in place can damage the magazine or impede its removal. Of course, if the magazine is out of the gun when you tighten the screw too far, it will impede the magazine's installation into the weapon as well.
Doing it right is easy enough. Carefully install the screw with the magazine out of the gun and then slide the magazine in and out carefully to see if you can feel the screw interfering with the magazine. If so, just back the screw out, fractional turns at the time, until there is no interference.0 -
Thanks. I just ordered one for $18.03 with free shipping. 0
