what is this gun- top eject shotgun

    It's a Spencer from the 1880's. Flayderman has a write up on them in his book. Bannerman bought the patent and made them into the early 1900's. There were also some used by the U.S. army, that are ultra rare. If yours has no markings, either it's been refinished or might be something special?

    Darn I have seen that model before not Burgess but I was thinking Spencer. Hard to believe maker did not mark somewhere That is a Factory build not a one of a kind.

    Something different as all the photos of Spencer-Bannerman examples I find have smooth flat sided receivers. Maybe a variant sold by Sears or Wards?

    Looks like it has 2 trigger ? What is the front one for ? is the front one backwards ?

    i just listed it on gb. the auction number is 211357436 there are about 30 pics on the auction. maybe you can get more info from the addtional pictures. if anyone has any further info i would appreciate it. thanks.
