The only ones I recall seeing were imported from Belgium/Spain? And were for sale were in some of the older Stoger catalogs, circa 50's/60's? There just way to much gun for normal folks to handle. Never practical because of that, mostly sold in small quantities as wall hangers/conversation pieces. Because of this not many around, doubtful if the ones sold by Stoger would be worth even close to $15,000, they looked like basic bare bones models as I recall from the catalogs.

Parker Bros. made 8-gauge double barrel shotguns as well. About 8-years ago, I had my hands on a pair of them that were sold by Little Johns auctions. Both were P grade guns, one with 34-inch tubes, the other with 36-inch tubes. Both were impressive as hell when you hefted them! I have no doubt they are worth close to $15K.

One of my local gun shops here in the Rochester, NY area has a few large gauge muzzleloading doubles for sale.
One is 8g and the other 4g. Or at least that is what they are tagged as.
They are asking around $1,500ea for them.

I'd like to know a little more about the 4 gauge the guy has! Is it a cartridge gun? Is it a single barrel?
    Thanks,

Both the guns I mentioned above are Muzzleloading SxS doubles.
They are old Antique guns with twist steel barrels. But they are in great original condition.

FWIW, there WAS a 4 g cartridge shotgun. I have an Eley 4 gauge shotshell in my collection.

Not only do I have an old 4 gauge shotgun shell, but I'm lucky enough to have a 4 gauge single shot for it!
My Grandpa gave the shell to my dad when he was 8 or 9 years old(around 1938-39). My dad asked, "where did you get the shell?" My grandpa told him an old man across the river gave it to him when he was a kid, and told him where! Then my Dad and his Grandma rowed a boat across the river to the boat house where the old man used to live and the house was gone, just the boat house was there. A Neighbor told my Dad, I just bought the lot, if you want something out of that boat house you better take it, cause I'm burning it down soon!! Needless to say, that's where my 4 gauge came from!! The boat house was burned down a few days after my dad grabbed the gun!
