might be difficult. you could try to fire some 3 1/2 shells. Since the chamber is 3 1/2 there is no danger. If they eject then you likely have a super black eagle

May save you some time if you call and give them your serial #.

The M2 does in fact have a 3" chamber. The SBE is 3.5". Is M2 stamped on the side of the receiver? When you take the barrel off, does it separate at the front of the receiver like most shotguns or does whole top of the receiver come off with the barrel almost all the way back to the butt stock? The M2 will be the first version.

I do not have a M-2 but have a LH M-1. When I had a pacemaker installed I had to switch to RH shooting and bought the SBE II. The M-1 only shoots 2.75" and 3" shells. The SBE II shoots, 2.75",3", and 3.5". The SBE II is on the top of one picture and to the left in the other.

I really love them both but now wish I would hae gotten a RH M-1, someday I may trade. The M-1 was a perfect pheasant gun!

    Hope this helps.
