I have a 391 and an Extrema. Neither one has the proper amount of "drop" for me. On my Extrema, I remove the pad on the stock and then removed the stock. I put in shim for max drop and it has worked much better. You can switch the shim direction and also switch shims to adjust the drop to your liking.
I would think you can do the same thing on the 390.
I just did a search and here is a link to the owners manual for the 390. C3 is the drop/cast spacer, so it is adjustable. See page 32 of the manual linked below. If you don't have another spacer you should be able to order one from Beretta.

You need more drop. This is the same problem I had. Put a different spacer in, one which has the top side thicker than the bottom this will increase the drop.
You may also have a cast issue depending on which shim is in there and how the shim is in there. Some have cast some don't.
How do you shoot a right handed semi auto left handed without taking hulls to the head?0 -
will try thx will keep updated thanks again just wondered about left and right as its a right hand gun but i shoot left i havent papered the gun yet so will do that first i did some reserch and there are shims for right and left will be back after i paper gun thanks again 0 -

Just read the manual I linked in the other post and it says they come stock with cast "off" for a right handed shooter. So you need to switch the spacer to cast "on" for left handed shooter and also for maximum drop.
Good luck0 -

With the Extrema, the same spacer was sx or dx depending on which way you put it in. I would take yours apart and see what shim is in there. You may just need to flip it over to fix your issues.0
