Looking for information and value of a model 62 Anshutz single shot .22. Bbl. marked ".22 long rifle rim-fire combination". Hard wood stock, no butt plate with groves cut in the curved butt. Receiver not groved but drilled and tapped on left side of receiver with four screws. Gun appears to be smooth bore, void of any lands or groves. Condition is 70-80%. It has a standard leaf rear sight and the front sight is sort of an abbreviated globe. 0 -
I looked in Gun Digests from the 1950's, 1960's and 1970's and could not find your gun. Hopefully someone who knows about that model will come along with an answer. 0 -
Is this your gun?? If yes, it is NOT a model 62, that stamp is the year/proof mark.

Thank you for the input. Yes, this seems to be my rifle. And the '62 is situated between 2 proof marks. Any thoughts on the smooth bore? What model is it? Again thanks.0 -
Okay, that is a type of training gun, like a boy scout beginners rifle. I don't think it ever had a model number.A few made it to America. Most had rifled barrels. Sort of a low end parlor gun. Yours may have been made for bird shot mini-trap and short range target shooting. I have seen them NOT sell for $200. I would place value at $100 to $175.
And I do not have one on auction. Hope this helps a little. Bob0 -
That rifle was known as a "Garden Gun" in 1962. Its use was as the name implies.
