Ruger Ranch Mini 14
I just bought a Mini 14 and want to install a scope. What type of mounts should I buy????

factory is the way to go on a mini ranch 0 -
If its a ranch model, it should have bases integral with the receiver and if you bought it new, it should have come with scope rings. If not, look on the auction side, there are plenty of Ruger rings for sale! 0 -
Also pick up a recoil buffer. When I first went with the factory rings the scope took a beating as in the reticle went spinning. These days the scope is mounted "Scout" style so no longer an issue. 0 -
I also have a mini 14 which uses a "B" block scope mount. The zero seems to shift after about 3 rounds. Any ideas? The rings are tight. Is there a better way to mount the scope? Thanks for any info. 0 -

That's most likely the gun, especially if it's the pencil barrel, and not the scope. Testing the theory, you may want to use iron sights and see the results. I sent my Mini Ranch to Accuracy Systems for a new, heavier barrel.
Regarding rings, here's a selection of Ruger style from Brownells:
