What is the requirement to ship handgun parts(barrel)??? Thanks, Jeronimo.

  Just for a barrel there is no requirement federally. From the state or local gov't., there might be, but I doubt it, as a barrel is just a piece of steel, without the reciever.

  As the man said- parts is parts. The RECEIVER (frame) is legally the gun- everything else is parts. However, that applies to shipping inside of the US. Sending gun parts out of the US is a whole 'nother can of worms.

  As said, nothign special. However, be aware that the barrel and upper tube on a Ruger Mk I/II/III pistol is the serial numbered part and is considered the firearm.
