Shipping a black powder revolver
Cleaning out my shop, I came across an old replica revolver that I'd almost forgot I had. I'm going to try selling it in an auction here, but it's been so many years since I did anything with firearms that I'm not aware of the latest regulations.
Mainly, can I sell & ship a black powder gun without restrictions within the U.S., like via UPS or whatever? I sold an old M1 Carbine a couple years ago and remember all the rules about shipping through an FFL dealer and all that.
Are black powder replicas exempt from shipping restrictions?

They are free from Federal restrictions.
However there are state and local restrictions.
For instance, you don't want to ship it to New Jersey or New York City.
Also would run into problems shipping it to Chicago.
For most of the country you can ship it as if it were a clothes iron.0 -
Thanks, Allen. That's what I was hoping for and more or less assuming. 0 -
If i am not mistaken, Michigan has restrictions on them too. 0 -
