Some close up pictures would help, is that tape around the wrist of the stock?

    Hello Genbossman:

Your 1903 Win has a major split in the stock by the rear of the receiver, plus the metal appears to be void of blue and there is staining on the forearm. If the bore is bright and the mechanics are working, then as a shooter or as a parts rifle, $200-$250.00 tops.

The 1903/03 was a very nice semi-auto; the ammo - .22 Win auto - is obsolete but manufactured from time-to-time and can be purchased with a little bit of searching. It was replaced by the Mod. 63 (in .22 LR hi-velocity) that has been claimed as the finest semi-auto ever.

Old Western Scrounger had some made in Mexico recently. Do not know if any is still available.
