22 Remington Autoloading-anyone make it?
Does anyone know whether 22 Remington 22 Autoloading ammo (used in the Remington model 16) is being manufactured? Or is there at least a source of older manufacture ammo out there? There's one ad for a partial box on Gunbroker, but that's it.

If you Google it, you may find some old boxes but I don't believe anyone makes it any more due to very limited demand. 0 -
No one currently loads that cartridge. You can sometimes find full boxes of period ammo for sale at $20-$25 per box, which makes shooting the Model 16 a pretty expensive proposition. 0 -
Not saying I condone it but you might look into getting it rechambered into 22LR, the bore is the same I think. 0 -
Remington Auto VS. Winchester Auto Dimensions: REM bullet dia .223 Win .222 REM neck dia .245 Win .250 REM base dia .245 Win .250 REM rim dia .290 Win .310 REM case lenght .663 Win .665 The most would be .020 thousands on the rim Diameter, at most, the chamber would not close. (Usually those old 22,s will give you le-way) Don't try this just because I gave you the specs...I've interchanged them and it worked for me. Most of the old auto rim-fire ammo you find won't fire anyway. I thought someone was making the win. auto again......SAFTY IS A PLUS!!!! NEVER PLAY WITH GUNS AFTER CONSUMING ALCOHOL!!![B)] 0
