info on value model 14 .25 remington
this is a 6 shot .25 rem on the end of the mag it is stamped pato nov6, 1912 has somewhat worn bluing with no pitting, walnut stock and forarm are original this is also a take down model has a peep sight mounted on the side of the reciever, and appears to be drilled and tapped for a scope. serial # 38xxx I am looking to sell this and want to know its approx value...

I have Remington model 14 #121793 in .25 Remington. I inherited it from my father. Fortunately he had 3 or 4 boxes of ammo for it as the ammo has not been loaded in years. My two year old "Blue Book" gives a value of $300 for the rifle with 70% finish, plus 15% for .25 Remington Cal. The holes drilled for mounting a scope and the holes, if any, for mounting the receiver sight will detract from the value. Holes and all I would say you have a $250-$300 rifle. This is about the best estimate of value I can give without several good photos. 0 -
thanks for the info,, I inheareted it from my father also but since I never use it thought I would replace it with a nice muzzle loader, now at least I have a starting point for either a sale or trade... 0
