    xtremahunter,

    Welcome to the Gunbroker forums!

A good search engine with the proper search terms is a wonderful thing for finding some information. It's not guaranteed but it seems to work in general.

I am not a collector nor do I attempt to put values on firearms in most cases.

This particular Wingmaster was only made sometime around 1999-2000. Even Remington can't get it's information to agree. It is a 12 ga. with a receiver which will handle the 3-1/2" shells, ie. 'super magnum'. Wingmaster denotes that it has decent wood, not the plain-Jane garbage normally found on the more common 870 Express. The so-called 'engraving' is not. Remington got called out on this when they first announced it and reverted to using the term 'enhanced'. This can also be found on some M700 rifles as well.

As to rarity, the simple fact that these were not produced for decades in volume does not necessarily lead to the concept of higher value by itself. Remington has been known for producing limited runs of firearms after discovering that they hadn't done their market research properly, resulting in the discontinuation of a model after a low production number. This is the case with your subject. Maybe their value will increase in years to come but I certainly hope not. I know the money grubbers will disagree with this concept but it is a false premise with which to assign value to a firearm.

There are prices out there, I've seen them but I think some of our members will have a better handle on this than I do.

    Best.
