Taking down the Christmas stuff today....the cats will be so sad
I typically leave things up as long as possible, but I have some free time this afternoon….so I'm planning on dealing with it today. I don't do as much decorating as I once did since the kids aren't living with us. I still like to do it for "us" though. The cats LOVE the tree…..this is going to be a sad day for them. I'm tempted to just leave it for them, but that would be silly.

We got the tree down last week end, decorations brought in and put away.
What I’m working on now is, getting these Christmas songs out of my head.

My wife took our Christmas stuff down yesterday. Tree is "composting" at the back of our property.

You could get them a proper cat tree

There are 6 cat trees in various places around the house. Meatloaf is so dang big he will topple them from time to time. The large ones are teathered to the wall to keep him from hurting himself, but the ones that are just 4' tall we let fate play its silly game. So, if you are ever in my home and hear a thud….like someone passed out and hit the floor, don't worry….its just Meat tossing his weight around.

Our tree survived the onslaught of our little granddaughters this year. I do not think Martha could cause any more mayhem !!! On second thought if I gave her enough time, Martha would come up with something…
I need to have the tree down and put away in fairly short order after Christmas, otherwise it sort of starts to depress me !!

For the first time in almost 47 years.......we didn't have a Christmas tree.
Between my wife's back surgery recovery........her sister's car wreck and injuries....…and my left foot stress fracture.............NO ONE was making any trips to the attic for Xmas decorations.
Hopefully..…next year will be different......

I think if the cats like it so much, let them put it up next year.
