forming 32-40's
Lemme say that I started reloading in 1958 so I am no novice. How difficult is it to resize 30-30 brass into 32-40? I know they will be short, but what is the failure rate using a 32-40 full length sizing die? I have made 25-20's from 32-20's with great success. But failure rate for .33 W.C.F.'s from 45-70's not so much. Thanks in advance, Eddie, retired and getting more tired!

In Cartridges of the World, the commentary on 32-40 reads "Usable cases can easily be formed from 30-30, 32 Special or 38-55 cases". (Assume you are referring to 32-40 Winchester rather than 32-40 Bullard or 32-40 Remington).

simple 1 pass through the f.l. die, almost 100% success rate with .30/30 brass.
