Talley makes mounts / rings for the CVS break open. Might find them on here at Gunbroker. I believe all the CVA break opens use the same setup. Don’t go cheap route/

The Cascade is a bolt gun. It appears that it takes a Weaver #46 base both fore & aft. I would like to use a Leupold/Burris/Redfield/Weaver turn in base but I guess there "ain't no such animal".

Further research suggests bases for round top Savage 110 will fit. I will soon see.

Afew years ago.......there was an article in Precision Shooting (or Rifle) magazine, concerning gun screw lubrication. The main point was that although screws and recesses should be initially cleaned.....…a small amount of oil/lube should be applied to screw threads, to allow for tightening without galling. An added benefit is that when the screw pressure forces the oil away from the screw/thread interface......a sort of thread hydra-lock occurs, holding the interlocking threads in place.

Note......ever notice the "pop"......when loosening small ring or base screws?🤔🧐

    Interesting subject…….
