bad/good news
hey all,been a while
as usual i was putting off sharing news, but here goes…
the "bad" news is that all chemo and other treatments have been stopped (by the doctors, not my decision) as there are no other combinations to try, and all so far are not working anymore
so now i am on just various pain meds oxygen and hospice/visiting nurse till the end
the "good" news is, that as the poisons slowly work out of my system, i am FEELING better over-all than i have in many months, and the "6 months on the outside" life expectancy i was given in june has now been passed !
this is the third time they have predicted my demise and been wrong, so i guess being stubborn has worked for me again, just how long i can keep it up will still be seen

I finished chemo and radiation treatment myself this past October, killed the cancer, now there is five years of keeping An eye on things. I understand what you have been going through; you called it right, chemo is a poison.
I have always believed in the power of prayer and the lord, I will pray that by a miracle and through the lord you will recover.3 -

those who dont know, the crap they are pumping into your veins is so nasty that the nurses wear gowns, long rubber gloves and a full coverage face shield to place the hose in you to be sure they dont get any on the OUTSIDE of their body…
but they are shooting it into you…

making fools of the doctors is becoming a regular hobby for me
in '85 they "lost me" 3 times in the o.r., again that night and wouldnt give the wife even a 99-1 odds of my going home, then that i would be in a wheelchair, finally that i would never be able to do anything but a desk job…
in '95 they wanted to remove my leg at the knee as it was "too far gone to heal"
wife told doc, "remember who you are working on, if you take it without trying anything to fix it first, he WILL hunt you down!" after 2 yrs of operations and therapy i was told i would never walk without a crutch or cane
a year later (after doing things MY way with no insurance co. goons following me around i ran into the therapist as i was getting off my bike at walmart and he gave me h*ell about being on a bike, that i must enjoy seeing him and where was my cane ?
told him not only was i back able to ride, was done with the cane nearly a yr ago and went SKIING the past winter
Jan '23 (when i was first diagnosed) they said i would see spring come but not summer…
