You are amazing!!! That is awesome that you were able to figure it out and handle the problem.

I would have found whatever the most expensive way to deal with it was and wen't that direction…Larry loves that about me (sarcasm)

I've found Amazon to be hit and miss on replacement parts. Check reviews and country of origin.

I've been able to keep our Samsung appliances running with Amazon parts for the past few years. I've had to replace diodes (2x) and capacitor once on the microwave, drain pump on the washing machine, and heating element on the dryer. The ice maker quit on our side by side refrigerator but after researching that one, it is a well known issue and replacement parts will go out in a year or two (and it's 1/4 the cost of a new one), so we just got a counter top ice maker. Lessons learned. I love Samsung for computer parts, phones, TV's, and other consumer electronics, but won't ever buy them again for appliances.

Funny thing is that if had been too much to repair it I was going to switch out to gas. Have been hesitant to do so since a house behind ours blew up in a gas explosion when I was little. Their family from out of town was visiting. About 15 people/three generations gone in the blink of an eye.

Have finally convinced myself I'm safe. May even put in a stand by gas heater for electrical outages.

Glad it was an easy repair for you. Nice work!
