Take it easy in the cold weather. Cold and ice aren't your friend when you're nursing an injury.

I have an acquaintance that swears by a hernia corset. Whenever he is having problems he wears one 24/7. Says it is the only way he can get a decent amount of sleep. I hope you get some relief. Bob

Forgot to add, I've been hearing pretty positive reviews on Wal-Mart batteries. I bought one reluctantly for my mower because that was my only in stock choice locally. Since then I have seen a lot of good ratings, so it kind of set my mind at ease.

After about three hours of charging battery the Ram fired right up. Some systems not working like cruise control, back up camera and others when I reconnected. What a can of worms. I am out of warranty three days ago and dealer will most likely stick it to me if I buy a new Mopar batt from them and ask them to correct the stuff that does not work . I have check engine light now and some of what I read say it will get corrected as you drive it. When it rains it pours. —————Ray

BobJudy, thank you. If becomes unbearable before Jan 8th I will get hernia belt, truss or corset as you say.

Ram is a 2020 so I guess I am about due for a battery.

I looked into extended warranty with FCA. I am still in shock at price. ————Ray

Check engine light and several other lights had resolved this am. As soon as I hit the road and did a little driving the rest resolved. Thank God as I am out of warranty now.

Battery is holding a charge for now but I suspect age, not driving much and two real cold nights hammered the battery. Think I will meter the battery in am for a few days to see what I come up with. Probably will replace battery no matter the results.

At 81yrs I remember batteries lasting 8-10 yrs and not being afraid to charge/replace them without opening a can of worms. My good friend and neighbor in Kents Store, Virginia has four old Dodge Diesel Power Wagons. He spends a lot of time working on them but does not worry over them like I do my 2020 Ram with only 24,000 miles on it.———————-Ray

7 Degrees here in Monroe and -4 Degrees below zero on my daughters farm in upstate Delaware County. Willie Jr. is hunkered down next to his favorite radiator in my lap. He was licking my hand because he knows his Pa's arm hurts so bad. What a smart/sensitive little fella he is. —————-Ray

I fell yesterday going down steps from deck. Caught myself with railing. Hurts top of left leg but not unbearable. Right arm is a little better so i will keep taking the ibuprofen.

My daughter just called from upstate to check on me. I really only have one good friend left at NY home. Joe is a retired policeman and is my FFL. I tell you folks its no fun when your friends pass away. My best friend Gerhard was a Berlin trained toolmaker who worked for IBM. We hunted together for 55 years before he passed away.

It is 7 degrees next to sliding door to deck so probably less than 5 degrees out in yard. Heather told me at 9:30 pm that it was -8 degrees below zero on the farm up in Delaware County, NY. She has her hands full taking care of her horses Winter and Butterfly.

Willie Jr. is tucked in for the night. You folks try to stay warm and have a Merry Christmas to all of you. ————————————Ray

PS: Another 37 Winchester 28ga. Going, Going, Gone. $3,625

That is just too cold. Been there, done that. Stay safe. If you don't have to go outside, don't.

Ray, having a fused back, I sleep with a body pillow. My wife stole it with her hernia and hasn't had any problems. I want my damn pillow back!!!! She gets it out next year.

Heather says if it gets any worse she is going out and sleep with her horses Winter and Butterfly in the barn to stay warm. I deeded my place in Kents Store, Virginia to her. She has had it with the cold and politics in NY. Every day almost she ask me, when are we moving?

Have had a chronic back problem for over 30 years and had a MRI about 7 months ago. Was going to try to get some help and the darn Hernia popped out when I was trying to clean up my 3 acres in Virginia in May.———————-Ray
