I always thought "dirty under ware" was caused by an accident!

Yessir, Mom always told me the same thing but I can honestly say that cleanliness of underwear was not anywhere near the top of my list during the helo ride to the burn center a couple years back. Didn't make any diff to the hospital folks either—they cut everything off and threw it all away.🙄

Mom always made my brother and I wear clean underwear in case we were hurt and had to go to the hospital. Looking back, I would think she would be more concerned about our injuries! Just kidding Mom, I miss and love you every day.

Even though you now know how to post pictures, please do not use that skill in this thread….🙃

Well, when I got the big ride to the trauma center a few years back, all I had was a dirty, wet pair of running shorts. No shirt. Shoes and socks knocked off. I don’t recall any complaints about underwear. Haha!

Reminds me when as a young ranger, I sometimes partnered with a crusty old Game Warden on the lake. During a dispute, his wife shot him with his service revolver. When the EMT went to cut off some of his clothes that were not involved, he told him, "Look, kid, this ain't TV."

ER Nurse: Mrs. Jones, I have bad news and good news for you. The bad news is that your son was in an accident and is in critical condition. The good news is that his underware was clean as a whistle.

I’m sure even doctors and nurses have had their own skid marks at some point in their adult life.

Yup. Every mother said that, but I always thought it was to save her from embarrassment. I wouldn't have given a…well, you know.

doesn't matter how clean they are to begin with, a serious enough accident can stain not only the underwear but the jeans you are wearing also……………

( I hit a car head on and I was riding a motorcycle, flew over the hood and cleared a row of mailboxes in the air before landing in someone's front yard, literally knocked the crap outta me, plus few broken bones, and yes that was one of the first questions my mom asked me down at the hospital after she found out I would live!!!)

Sure am glad you made it through that one hillbille!! I could see your accident happening in living color with your description! 😲

I've known a lot of medical people over the years and just about every one of them have told me that their main concerns were dealing with obese\overweight people. Underwear was never mentioned at all.

My doc called me an hour after reviewing my routine blood draw and told me to go immediately to the emergency area of our hospital. My white blood level was over 20, whatever that means. My son took me as I could barely walk. I stayed 3 days and never gave my underwear a thought. They never did figure what was wrong - just some kind of big infection. The infectious disease doc finally got rid of my symptoms.

I sleep the way the good Lord made me. People ask if I'm concerned about being found that way after a tornado. I explain if I'm not able to walk away from the aftermath, being nekkid is the least of my concerns. So, I don't worry about clean undies when I go to bed. Public appearance, they will be clean. 😆

From the time I was 13 till 20 I rarely wore underwear. Good thing I wasn't in a serious accident.

I was just thinking that underwear should come equipped with air bags in case there is an accident. 🤪

OK, I quit this subject. I promise.
