Saw me some new LED light bulbs at work.
Looks like a bulb shaped like ceiling fan. It has like 4 blades that fold out and set as you like LEDs. I may have to check these out and price them.

I used them when I built The Toy Box. They put out an amazing amount of light in the garage portion of the building - 53' x 35' with a 12' ceiling. I used 15 lights.
I like the fact they can be screwed into a regular light bulb socked. The "blades" had a tendency to sag so I used a hot glue gun to keep them in place.
The version I had had five blades. A bunch of folks thought they were actually ceiling fans. Unfortunately the lights started to fail. Either a blade or the center light would start to blink which was very distracting. Failure could be counted in hours/days - maybe 300 hours of "on time".
I replaced them with a four blade version. They had a different temperature of light and were seemed to be brighter than the first ones. They have not failed - yet.
I did keep the ones that started to blink. Perhaps I will run out of things to do someday and will attempt to repair them.

I have one with three panels and a motion detector - and a remote. I put it in my attic space so it comes on automatically when I go up there. It would also work fine in a garage.

I have a couple of the 4 blade version down in the barn for the chickens.

I put two of the four blade ones in the well house I built, They seem to work fine so far, they are smaller than they looked online when I got em off amazon.

Had some flood light is the warehouse. Just shown down is spots.
I replaced with these type Led light with 3 blades .Covers a large area Wow, I'm blinded and now, can find things I lost years ago. Ceiling is 16 ft up, so have to use one of the extension poles to install.
But seem to only last about 2 years, then start flickering, (looks like lightning). But the price has come down so it's not too bad to replace. I bought a Case of these (10) .

We have a couple in an old shead, and I have one in the pole barn I think their 3 light style bought them a few years back on sale at menards

Seen them at Ollies,the ones made by bell and Howell. Good price but was unsure if worth the price . Sounds like Ineed to try some .

Sound good, except for the arms sagging. That would be a pain.

Pretty much agree....
Over the years......I've mostly settled on CFL bulbs, based on cost....life.....and wattage consumption comparisons. I do still keep some incandescent bulbs handy....…for mild heat....to help epoxies cure, and warming inside my stock finish dry-box.
Here's hoping that Don will bring back incandescent bulbs........😉😎

I noticed this with those twisted compact fluorescents. I took off the frosted glass to get better lights off them this weekend. maybe I got that GA the Fonz was talking about?
