Interesting, is it broke off or is that the way it grew?

Look for a scar on deer's right hip, possible to be anywhere else.

Congratulations. One antler missing won’t hurt the taste at all. lol
They do like to fight during rut.

I shot one once that only had one side of his antlers, only deer that I shot that ran up hill after he got shot, in fact I thought he was charging me. I was on top of the hill when I shot him and he immediately started running straight for me, passed me by maybe 10 foot then fell about 10 yards behind me.

Now kill his twin brother (that's missing the other side) and you'll have a good pair of heahs to mount together.

Looks as though it may have broken off when it was still in velvet. Brow tine shows a break but the main beam is smaller in diameter and looks more like a nub that has healed over

Shot a buck that was fender meat earlier (back in velvet). Was he hobbling? Dodged a car but not a bullet. Let me know when you find mended bone(s) while carving him up.

We got a bunch of CWD tags for our north farm and it's 'anything goes'(bucks/does/unicorns) so our plan was to remove some of the underachiever bucks that have proliferated during MDC's ill planned '4 point rule'.

Last week I really got into the spirit and shot up the herd. Two of the little underachievers were mirror images. One had a spike on the right and fork on the left while the other had a fork on the right and spike on the left. Nearly perfect matching opposites.
