sell cartridge collection.
I started my collection in 1957. All are loose but grouped according to category. Never counted them, but estimate about 200+. Maynards, old rim fires, early Winchesters, military, shot shells, ( I have 4 boxes of very old all brass military issue buck shot, & 105 and 90 MM artillery brass rescued from my 'Nam days.), a few clips loaded with paper patch big bore, plus a lot of others. How would I go about selling them as a lot? It would be a lot of work listing them individually, but I think that is about the only way to go. Kinda thinking a few pictures would be helpful. There was a time when I displayed them at gun shows and got compliments on them. Can I sell and ship them myself or do I need an FFL holder to do it? I gotta start liquidating my "stuff" as my family has no idea of its value. This happened to my good friend Lee when he passed. His "friend" may he rest in the hot, humid bowels of the Earth, cheated Vera out of around $1,000.00. Thank you for any suggestions Maybe I should just ship everything to Kacey!!!

You could spend a year selling off individually. Myself only, a lot and it brings what it brings. OR if you have any "friends" who may be interested try them first. You will find IMO only that a lot of interest is gone from that hobby.

This is a HARD market to sell. There are so few collectors that know what that sort of thing is worth. You really need to sell them in small lots. Shipping is a pain, but worth it in the end.
Larry Potterfield sent his vintage ammo collection here and we dealt with it. I'll tell you when you ship vintage ammo boxes you need to wrap each box with saran wrap or some sort of plastic wrap….then, wrap each box as if you were going to toss it in your driveway as far as you can. They really abuse the boxes and if you don't keep that in mind it will shift and break apart. We wrapped the boxes in plastic, then bubble wrap, then duct taped the boxes to be one "bundle" then wrapped that bundle in bubble wrap…then shipping peanuts and we STILL had a few mishaps.
If you spend a few minutes taking some pictures, list it for your asking price and put "actual shipping" in the listing….you can give your buyer the option of emailing over a FedEx or UPS label if they want. You just need to make sure you put the black triangle sticker on the box.
I just don't have the time for ammo and extras these days. I have three large batches of ammo that have been here so long I feel horrible I haven't found time to deal with them yet. I swear, I'm gettting to it asap though!
