Very popular drink here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Very high in sugar and caffeine.

I kicked the habbit after 60 years of drinking mountain dew. I was averging one to two leaters a day my wife kept telling me I needed to stop but i finally did so , about a year ago I did .
But started drinking Dr. Pepper, and coffee not good change over health wise but a little better than all the sugars and caffeine in but nowhere near the same amount each day I was drinking

A 20 ounce Mountain Dew has 77 grams of sugar. Just under 3 ounces. A six pack has just over a pound.
If you drink a six pack a week, you are getting 55 pounds of sugar per year just from the soft drink. I wonder why we have an epidemic of heart disease, and diabetes today in America.

My deceased brother was never without a diet mountain dew in his work truck .Some of his employees sometimes stop at his gravesite and leave a bottle as a memorial .I enjoy them myself

When I was a youngster it sure seems to me that had much more carbonation in sodas and tasted better than todays same brands- Am I imagining this?
