Are "Switch Blade" knives legal to own??

Legal to own, varies by states.
Check out this sellers listings. Has lock blade, switch blades, out the front automatics. He imports the knives, and parts, and hand finish the workings. He guaranty his work. Not sure he has vintage but you could ask him.

Check your state most were made legal some time ago due to law changes in cc laws
And vintage versions have always brought a premium I will wager some new ones are decent knifes and good steel .
I have a few but they are just modern knockoffs I would call toys probably China made
I Even a bench made brand it's a nice knife but odds are it is a knock off also
I Would not trust my life or heavy duty use to any one I have
now daily use and a toy to play with good to go

"Legal" to own as a "collection" not legal to carry here in California (misdemeanor) unless they're like an inch long blade? I don't think any shop will ship to California.

Decades ago, we carried a spring-assisted knife in our flight suits. It was normally worn with the parachute cord cutter (Uhook-blade) open and the regular assisted blade locked closed. But wearing it to and from the base for work was an iffy thing, because such knives were illegal back then. I don't know of anyone who got arrested for it after being stopped for a traffic violation or something, but a hard-nosed cop could have done so.

I had one like that . It had bright orange scales a hook to cut the lines and a switchblade on the opposite side.
A city inspector in Dayton Oh bought it from me for his collection after I showed it to him this was about 1979 or so
When I fist got it I did not know what it was for

100% depends on the state. I sell quite a few in the store, everything from $70 Cobratecs up to $500 Benchmades.

I carry a Kershaw Launch as EDC. I have seen a few of the older ones at gun and knife shows, never was interested in one. Good luck on your search, just check your local laws.
