He lives in Mtn. City, TN. Hit hard. Don't know any info about him.

His home is up on a hill. Unless the hill slid down or washed out he might be fine. My son is a medic in the county there. The county was hit hard.

I was thinking about Bravo too. I remember him saying he was trained in swift water rescue.

He told her most was back to normal except the tree cleanups, but him and buddy were fine…….

If you want to donate to help the relief efforts, be VERY CAREFUL where you spend your $$$$$. "Cajun Navy 2016" is the real deal—there are a couple of knock-offs. Samaritan's Purse is another good one, and I'm sure there are more. CN2016 has an Amazon wish list that I used, and Samaritan's Purse is where I donated $$$$, they are working through the local churches.

I went through a local church that wants to fill a semi truck. Everyone NEEDS to do something.

Our Lions Club had a Pancake Breakfast this morning. Made Double what we normally make.

All the proceeds go to Hurricane relief. Our Club Matched what was made. Have a Lion Trailer from the District with food and Water is headed to Eastern KY and TN.

He texted me this morning and said all is well. Him and Buddy rode the storm out without the house getting hit by a tree. The road was washed out and they were without power for a few days. He said he was on the phone with Ray and Willy and they sounded OK too.

Got a text from Ken K just a little while ago.

I suspect he has not made it to town.

My son, a medic in Johnson County, TN, where Ken lives, made 18 swift water rescues. He had pictures of the folks he pulled from deaths grip. I could tell you things that he showed me would give you nightmares. Note this was at the head of the storm runoff, just imagine what happened downstream. Say Erwin, Hampton, Unicoi, Nolachucky, Chucky, and French Broad areas.

You will never hear the truth from the talking heads in the higher up places. Pay no attention to Fakebook, tic tok, Instagram, etc. My 2 cents

Some of the folks whose homes were washed away, their land was washed away, also.

Twenty some years ago, torrential downpours washed homes away in Southern West Virginia. A local man and others pitched in and bought used mobile homes around the area and gathered them near here. They had plans to haul them to the flood stricken area so people could have housing. Trouble was, many mobile home residents didn't own the land their trailers sat on or the land itself was scoured too bad.
