Yes I did! That was just amazing! It's interesting to watch the kids that are working on those machines. They're cheering like their team just won the championship, which, in a sense, they did.

If they manage to get the Starship down to a soft landing with the heat shields unscathed, they will have blown every other space program out of the water. NObody else is even close.

I thought the Starship was doing a splashdown in the Indian Ocean?
SpaceX is proof positive to me that if you get the bureaucrats out of the way and you have the resources then you can accomplish anything.

Starship will land in the Indian Ocean. Launches are hard, but re-entry is the real test.

I just looked it up and it looks like they'll do all of the contortions with the Starship as if they were going to do a soft landing on the ground but will be putting it in the water. A 'wet run' if you will prior to setting it down on land.
Did you read about all of the trouble they've had with getting the launch permit? Initially the government wasn't going to issue the permit until late November due to 'environmental' concerns. For some reason they went ahead and issued the permit just yesterday. Elon didn't waste any time getting it off the ground!

It appears that the Deep State is doing everything possible to thwart SpaceX because Musk so strongly backs Trump. Personal vendetta.
