Older TC contender
Back in the late 70's or early 80's someone had available an expandable hinge pin. Marketed I think through IHMSA. It made it so you could adjust the play out of the contender frames verses the frame. I know BellmTCs has pins that are larger for that purpose. However that does not address the barrel problems all together. I have a frame that the over size Bellm pin works just barely. I have 2 barrels that it just drops through. I know Bellm has larger pins available. I do not wish to ream my frame, as it is an original. Thanks for any input you may have. I know these were not custom manufactured. I have the wrench that came with the pin. I will try to add that when I get home.

Bellm oversize pins aren't much larger than the standard. They're .001" larger than the standard pins. My info says that they are ground to .3752" in diameter. He does, or did have reamers for sale as well.
Mike is on the forum, and hopefully he will see this, and can give you A LOT BETTER answer than I can.
The only thing I can do is put in a little plug for Mike. ANY problem or question I have ever had, he has always been VERY helpful.0 -
Thanks I understand the Mike Bellm pins. Here is the rest of the info. The name was SHUR-LOC. R. Carone, Dansville, NY. 14437. There were 2 RAM head tools supplied to tighten the screws with. That is where I found the name and address. I did a search and came up with a research outfit in NY with a phone number. I plan on calling them Monday afternoon. I also found out that TC has an expandable bushing for the Encore now. They are about $20 retail. I still believe that Bellm pins are the way to go. Already did that for my encore and contender. We are just looking to find one these parts from the past for a frame we do not want to ream for the larger pin it would reqiure for a couple of carbine barrels. If you have a or know someone that has one let me know. Thanks 0 -
Sorry. Can't help you there. The only Sure-Loc I know of has products for archery. Email me if you can't find one from Bellm. I have an extra still in the bag. 0
