firing pin removal?

any sugestions for removing a firing pin from a newer spanish (good quality) double. this is the kind with a screw in from the front retainer and 2 holes on either side of the f.p.... So far I've made up a 'wrench' by drilling 2 holes in the end of a 1/2" rod the same dia. and distance apart as the 2 in the breach face, inserting 2 pins and prompty breaking one of the pins.

  I'll probably get slammed for this, I used a screwdriver in one hole and tapped it loose on one of my BT-99's.

  Get your self a replacement pin set from a snap ring pliers as used in automotive repair. Then do as you tried with these harden and tempered pins. I have lots of home made tools like that, trick is to use as many quality pieces and adapt them to your problem. Bob
