Rem 870 Sight Placement

I have shortened the 870 Wingmaster .12 plain barrel and want to re-set the original factory bead sight, does anyone know what size hole I need to drill to re-tread (drill bit size). Any sizes I need or any tips will be appreciated. Thanks

  Most likely 6X48 thread. You will need a #31 drill. I would double check the sight thread just to make sure.

  The largest Gunsmithing supply outfit in the U.S., is Brownells. Just GOOGLE, Brownells Gunsmith Supply to find them. If you can't find what your looking for in their online catalog, or their instructional videos, give their customer service folk a call. The will fix you up with the correct drills, taps, beads etc.
