I just finished filling out my C&R renewal and was surprised to see question #8 ask my if I have, or planned to do any internet sales. It then went on to ask which site(s) I planned to use. I don't remember that last time, any idea as to when that appeared?

Not according to this website but you should check with your State Police or pistol permit office:

    http://www.gunandgame.com/forums/powder-keg/53910-what-c-r-license.html

A C&R license (formally, a Class 03 Curio & Relics Federal Firearms License) is a license issued by the BATFE to people who collect curio and relic firearms. These are defined as firearms that were produced more than fifty years ago. Any gun 50 years old or more is automatically a curio or relic even if it does not appear on the official BATFE C&R List.

Ever since GCA 68 became law, the general public has been unable to have guns and ammo shipped directly to their homes. To some extent, the C&R license will let you get around that. You can have longarms that fall into that category shipped right to your home without having to run the transaction through a Class 01 FFL dealer anywhere in the country. You have to check with the local BATFE office to see what the score is concerning pistols in your state. Some states allow C&R licensees to receive C&R pistols directly. Some (like New York, Massachusetts, California, New Jersey and Connecticut) do not.
