444 marlin -> 44 mag performance

hello;

recoil of 444 marlin is an issue for someone. anyone reload their 444 marlin to the performance of a 44 magnum, both in cast bullets and jacket bullets??? if so, reload data? thanks for any input.

  Lyman Reloading Handbook #49. 444 Marlin 240gr Jacketed HP Starting load of XMP 5744 is 33.0 gr for a vel of 1624fps using Rem 9.5 primer in Rem cases. Cast bullet 429667 240gr starting load of 29.0 gr XMP 5744 for 1560fps. Both loads listed out of an 18 inch tube and are about the velocity of the top loading listed for a 20 inch 44 mag. I shot about 32 pounds of the older version of this Accurate Arms powder out of my 44 mag smith and really liked it.
