marlin 1894 barrel removal

I need to replace the barrel on a Marlin 1894 44 mag with a 22" round barrel. It would be very easy for me to get a barrel, but is removing the barrel as easy as unscrewing the old barrel and screwing on the new barrel, or is there "fitting" work that has to be done on the new barrel? I plan on using a factory replacement barrel.

  after installation barrel will need to snugged up and then headspace set if everything lines up

  marlin barreles are very close, you may have to move the shoulder of the chamber end back a few .001's to get the sights at 12:00. then you have to heaspace.
