Has a 8 3/8 barrel 6 shot, 617 No dash

About what year was it made and I havent seen many with that barrel length

Out of all 617s on auction side there was only one with that barrel

  1989-1993.
  
  You don't see them often because that barrel length is not popular.

  One reason you dont see many 8 3/8" model 617's is they stopped making that barrel length in 2002 probably due to its unpopularity.
